Alene Aftandilian Caldwell
Alene is the Principal and founder of ACRE Property Advisors, where she works closely with her husband to assist clients with their real estate needs. Alene received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University in 2009 and a Juris Doctor degree in 2013 from Suffolk University Law School. She was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 2013 and has developed a legal career representing clients in the acquisition, sale, development, leasing and financing of commercial and residential real estate.
Attorneys typically do not get involved in residential transactions until an offer has been accepted, but with Alene, you receive the benefit of an attorney navigating your transaction, as a broker, from the very beginning of your search or listing. She utilizes her legal background to foreshadow potential issues, negotiate key terms up front, and carefully draft offers, so that her clients have the greatest likelihood of a smooth, successful closing without incurring additional expense.
Alene’s hobbies include travel, running marathons and fundraising. She has been a three-time member of Boston Children’s Hospital’s Miles for Miracles team – her favorite race being the Boston Marathon. Alene is also an officer and director of Cheerful Giver Foundation, Inc., a charity established in honor of her late father, Armen Aftandilian, to promote, fund and support health, spiritual, educational and social service objectives in Armenia.
Alene and Jon were raised and currently live in Weston with their two children and schnauzers. They are active members of the community. Among other initiatives, they enjoy annually sponsoring Celebrate Weston and the Weston Police Relief Association 5K. Additionally, Alene is a board member of the Weston Community Children’s Association (WCCA), where she co-chair’s the New Member Hospitality group.
Jonathan Caldwell
Jon is the Managing Director of ACRE Property Advisors, where he advises anyone from first time buyers to experienced investors on their real estate endeavors. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University in 2006 and his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Boston University in 2013.
For many years Jon worked in investment management as a mortgage bond analyst and trader, where he learned the intricacies of the residential real estate market – specifically, how government policies, the strength of our financial institutions and overall economic conditions affect interest rates, market values and consumer trends.
Upon completion of his MBA, Jon joined the real estate development company, RARE Development, as its CFO and Investment Analyst. There, he focuses on single and multi-family restorations in the Greater Boston area with the goal of either short-term profits or long-term rental portfolio investing. To compliment his work with RARE, Jon became a Sales Associate with the Gollinger Team at TCC Realty Group, later acquired by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, where he was trained under a Principal with over $200M in career transactions. His experiences with these companies have helped him develop the consultative approach he takes with clients when finding the real estate solution that best fits their needs and long term goals.
